Wheel-Speed Signal Absent

Wheel-speed signal absent.

Fault symptoms
Speedometer or cruise-control system not working.

Conditions
^ Open circuit or shorting between pin 23 on the ABS control module and pin 10 on the MIU (K12).
^ Open circuit or shorting between ABS control module pin 25 and Cruise pin 11.
^ Open circuit/shorting between ABS control module pin 26 and pin 39 in Trionic/pin 9 in Motronic/pin 9 in EDC 15.

Diagnostic help
The wheel-speed reading can be obtained from both the ABS control module and the control module receiving the signal.
