IMPORTANT: The activate function must always be used with caution. Always deactivate an activated function before moving on to a new Tech 2 menu item. Also remember to clear any DTCs in the ABS or other systems when you've finished the work.

Note: When a system function is activated by the diagnostic instrument, the control module is being instructed to execute a command that it would not normally be doing. In the Activate mode, the diagnostic tool tests the control module and you should therefore use the Activate command with caution. An activated function is always reset when you leave the Activate mode to move to another menu item.
