Adjusting the Windows and Seals




A Door window







The window should be adjusted so that the soft top seals seal against the window as shown.
Correct adjustment of the soft top and doors must be completed before the window can be adjusted. After adjusting the door window, the rear side window must be checked.

Vertical







1 Remove the door upholstery.
2 Loosen the nut that holds the stop for the window lift mechanism.
3 The rear edge of the window is adjusted vertically by loosening the nuts.
Advice:
There is further adjustment possibility at the door window mounting to the lift mechanism.

Inclination







1 Loosen the screw in the rear window guide at the bottom. The screw is accessed through the hole in the rear end of the door.
2 Loosen the nut on the stud in the front adjustment.
3 Adjust the window inclination by turning the stud in or out.
4 Tighten the nut on the stud and the screw that secures the rear window guide rail.
5 Adjust the rear adjustment by pulling the window laterally, so that it is centred in the front guide channel.
6 Tighten the screw securing the rear window guide rail.

B Rear side window







The window should be adjusted to correct height, pressure on the window and the clearance to the window must be constant. The front door window must be correctly adjusted before adjusting the rear side window.







The rear side window should be positioned 1-2 mm below the upper edge of the front side window. The clearance between the front side window and the rear window front edge should be approximately 8 mm.


Vertical







1 Remove the side upholstery and the inner seal rail.
2 Loosen the screws for the window stops at the upper end of the window rail.
3 Adjust the window stops up/down.
4 Tighten the screws in the window stops.
5 Advice:
If further adjustment is needed, loosen the nuts that secure the window lift mechanism.
6 Adjust the window and tighten the nuts.
7 Fit the seal rail and the side upholstery.

Inclination of window lift mechanism







1 Loosen the nuts that secure the window lift mechanism.
2 Adjust the window by turning the studs out or in.
3 Tighten the nuts.


Window Inclination







In order to achieve a correct fit against the door window, both the window lift mechanism and the inclination of the door window can be adjusted.
1 Remove the loudspeaker and the upper inner seal from the window. Cut holes in the plastic.
2 Loosen the nut in the window upper mounting in the lift mechanism.
3 Adjust the window with a torx screwdriver by turning the studs in or out.
4 Tighten the nut.
5 Seal the hole in the plastic with tape.
6 Fit the upper inner seal. Make sure that the felt seal is up against the window when it is closed.
7 Fit the loudspeaker.


Fore-and-aft







1 Loosen the nuts that secure the window lift mechanism.
2 Adjust the window by pulling it forward or rearward.
3 Tighten the nuts.
4 Adjust the side seals.

Front seal







The front seal can be adjusted laterally at the front edge.
1 Loosen the screw securing the retainer.
2 Adjust laterally and tighten the screw.
3 Check the fit against the windscreen frame seal.
4 Check so that there is no water leakage by spraying water from above at an angle
Never use high pressure.
