Attachment Eyes, ISOFIX (LATCH)

The attachment eyes for the child seat must be changed if the attachments have been distorted in a collision or have been damaged in any other way.

1. Grind away the welds securing the attachment eyes and remove the old attachments.







2. Grind and smooth off the old welds.
3. Put in place the new attachment eyes.
4. Measure the precise position for the attachments. The eye on the outer attachment (centre of round rod) must be flush with the crossmember as illustrated. The eyes must be 280 ± 1 mm C-C.







5. Seam weld the attachment eyes as illustrated, welding length is 10 - 15 mm. Do not forget to plug weld in the middle of the outer attachment.
6. Apply primer to all bare surfaces. Use Standox 1K Fullprimer. After painting, apply a thin layer of anti-corrosion agent and allow it to enter behind the attachments.
