Rear Side Upholstery

Removing
1 Run the soft top mechanism so that the soft top cover and fifth bow are open.







2 Remove the seat cushion from the rear seat.
3 Remove the bolt that secures the front seat belt to the floor.
4 Loosen the lip of the door seal from the side upholstery.
5 Remove the scuff plate.







6 Remove the cover and the bolt securing the upholstery to the B-pillar.
7 Remove the plastic bolts securing the upholstery at the lower edge.
8 Fold the backrest forward.
9 Remove the bolt and plastic screw securing the upholstery at the rear edge.







10 Carefully pull up the upholstery to remove it from the clip at the upper rear corner. Hold the clip holder with one hand so that the holder and upholstery are not damaged.


IMPORTANT
Do not bend the upholstery. The upholstery or clip can be damaged.


11 Remove the seat belt from the side upholstery.
12 Remove the lamp connector and remove the side upholstery.

Fitting







1 Plug in the lamp connector.
2 Insert the seat belt through the strap guide.
3 Fit the upholstery and fasten the clip in the upper rear corner.







4 Tighten the bolt and fasten the plastic screws that secure the side upholstery to the rear edge.
5 Raise the backrest.
6 Fasten the plastic clips that secure the upholstery at the bottom.
7 Tighten the bolt that secures the upholstery to the B-pillar and then press on the cover.







8 Fit the scuff plate.
9 Refit the door seal.
10 Check that the seat belt is not twisted and then tighten the bolt that secures the seat belt to the floor.
Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33.3 lbf ft)
11 Refit the seat cushion in the rear seat.
