Fifth Bow Latch

Removing







1 Raise the soft top cover and remove the covering shell.
2 Connect the diagnostics tool and run the fifth bow latch motor using the command:
"STC"
"Activate"
"5th bow latch motor"
"Lock"
3 Remove the clips and remove the operating arm from the fifth bow latch.
4 Remove the cable ties and unplug the electric connection.
5 Remove the bolts that secure the latch and leave the access flap suspended by the cable.

Fitting







1 Fit the latch and push the hook into the reinforcement bracket. Tighten the lower bolt.
2 Fit the access flap striker plate. Make sure that the guide ends up in the latch groove. Tighten the upper and lower bolt.


IMPORTANT
Check that the lever for the microswitch moves easily.


3 Plug in the connectors and fit cable ties.
4 Fit the operating arm to the latch and press on the clip.
5 Connect the diagnostics tool and erase any diagnostic trouble code.
6 Refit the shell.
