Door Upholstery

Removing







1 Remove the cover by the door mirror.
2 Remove the door opening handle by loosening the bolt under the cover.
3 Remove the closing handle cover







4 Remove the bolts that secure the door upholstery.
5 Remove the expander rivet.
6 Carefully pull away the door upholstery and lift it off the lock button.
7 Remove the boot lid opening button.

Fitting







In order to decrease the number of parts kept in stock, the same door upholstery is used on the Saab 9-3 Coupe and Saab 9-3 Cabriolet. When fitting new door upholstery on the Saab 9-3, the front upper corner of the upholstery must be cut as follows:
1 Mark the cutting line.
2 Position a support along the cutting line and cut away the corner. Use a hacksaw or a knife.







3 Fit the opening button on the boot lid.
4 Fit the door upholstery and press it into position.
5 Tighten the bolts and fit the lock washer.







6 Refit the closing handle cover.
7 Refit the opening handle, tighten the bolt and press on the cover
8 Refit the cover by the door mirror
