Raising the Soft Top
Raising The Soft Top
1 Soft top completely lowered
The same conditions apply for raising the soft top as for lowering it.
The soft top is raised by pressing the "ROOF button forwards until the soft top is completely raised (closed) and an acoustic signal is heard from SID.
The soft top is raised sequentially, i.e. each movement must be completed before starting the next.
The following table illustrates the switch and microswitch conditions when the soft top is completely lowered (open) and the soft top cover locked.
If a malfunction should occur while operating the soft top, the STC control module will send bus messages "Sound" and "Text message, whereby SID sounds an acoustic signal at the same time as it displays an error message.
The following tables and illustrations show which condition switches/microswitches, pump, valves as well as relay assume for the fifth bow latch motor at each movement sequence.

3 Soft top cover raised.
The soft top cover is raised and the pump assumes the following condition.
4 Soft top raised
The soft top is raised and the valves assume the following conditions.
5 Fifth bow raised and fifth bow latches unlock
The fifth bow is raised, the fifth bow latches unlock and the swivelling covers on the soft top cover are raised. The pump, valves and relay for the fifth bow latch motor assume the following conditions.
6 Soft top cover lowered
The soft top cover is lowered and the pump, valves and relay for the fifth bow latch motor assume the following conditions.
7 Soft top cover latches lock
The soft top cover latches lock
8 Fifth bow lowered
The fifth bow is lowered and the valves assume the following conditions.
9 Fifth bow latches lock
The fifth bow latches lock and the relay for the fifth bow latch motor assumes the following condition.
10 "Lightly locked" position and first bow locked to windscreen frame
The soft top is pressed to its "lightly locked" position against the windscreen frame and the latch handle is locked manually against the windscreen frame. The valves and the relay for the fifth bow latch motor assume the following conditions.
The raising of the soft top is complete.
