Microswitch, fifth bow intermediate position

Removing







1 Lower the soft top.
2 Remove the rear side trim.
3 Run the soft top to raised (closed) position with the soft top cover and fifth bow raised.
4 Cut the cable ties and unplug the connector. Use a knife to reach the inner cable tie. Pull the wiring harness through the hole in the body.
5 Run the soft top manually to the half open position and fit the soft top support (16) 8293144.
6 Pull up the wiring harness and cut the upper cable tie.
7 Remove the microswitch retaining bolt and remove the microswitch.

Fitting







1 Fit the microswitch and tighten the bolt.
2 Insert the wiring harness.
3 Close the soft top and raise the fifth bow.
4 Insert the wiring harness behind the cylinders and follow the wiring harness for the electrically heated rear window.
5 Fit new cable ties.
6 Plug in the connector.
7 Connect the diagnostics tool and erase any diagnostic trouble code.
8 Fit the rear side upholstery.
