Replacing Suspension Hook In Soft Top Storage

Removing







Hook, washer and pop rivet are included in spare part kit 47 41 971
1 Raise (close) the soft top.
2 Open the boot lid and pull out the strap with the defective hook.
3 Mark the position of the hook.
4 Split the seam securing the hook and remove the hook.

Fitting







1 Fit the new hook.


IMPORTANT
The strap should have the same length as the strap with the other hook.


2 Fold the strap as shown and make holes with an awl through three layers of fabric.
3 Fit the washer and pop rivet the strap
