Procedure





1. Remove the radio from the dash using the standard Clarion removal tools (available under P/N 84 71 161 (P/N 02 73 706). Disconnect the radio and set to one side.

2. Remove the radio bracket from the dash.

3. Push the SID unit out from behind. Disconnect it and move to one side.

4. Remove the SID bracket and blank plate by releasing the five (5) locking fingers from the instrument panel: two (2) on top, one (1) on each side and one (1) on the bottom.

5. Reinstall the radio bracket. Be very careful not to scratch the instrument fascia, especially on the bottom.





6. Check to see if there is 0.5 mm recess in the instrument fascia as illustrated.

7. Install the new SID bracket with cupholder. Push the top and side locking tabs outward to be sure the bracket is secured to the dash.

8. Connect the radio and install it into the mounting bracket.

9. Connect the SID and install it into its mounting bracket.

10. Set the car clock and date (time, month, year, date). Note: no programming with Tech 2 is necessary.

11. Start the car and check that all functions are ok, including the newly installed cupholder.
