On cars in your dealership's new car inventory, replace these tie straps in this area with 2 new ones, correctly placed.
This procedure will be claimed using the campaign processing coding for tracking purposes.
Cars affected
Saab 9-3 Convertible models within the following

Material:
Tie strap: 79 71 864 (2)
Procedure
Replace the tie strap at the rear window defroster connections as follows.
1. Drive the 5th bow to an upright position so that you can see the connectors on the left side of the rear window.
2. If the tie straps are mounted according to the first drawing, remove the tie straps and replace them with new ones, P/N 79 71 864.
Fix the tie straps according to drawing two. Make certain the tie straps pass through the retaining hole in the window frame. The clasp of the tie straps should be pointing down so it cannot come in contact with the headliner.
