Tailgate Handle

To remove







1. Open the tailgate.
2. Remove the pull handle and the tailgate trim.
3. Remove the retainer nuts (2 pcs) that secure the handle from the inside, beside the lock unit.
4. Remove the bolts that secure the ramp where the license plate lighting is fastened.
5. Remove the left rear light by removing the 3 nuts for the lamp housing, and the unplug connector in the lamp holder.

NOTE: To release the light, unsnap the latch that locks over the body panel at the lower left corner.

6. Remove the combined handle-lighting assembly by removing the left clip and pulling the moulding to the left until the right clip slides out of its groove.

To fit







1. Fit the combined handle-lighting assembly by pushing the moulding against the right clip until it snaps into place and then fasten the left clip.
2. Fasten the bolts for the license plate lighting ramp.
3. Fit the left rear light. Fit the 3 nuts for the lamp housing and plug in the connector in the lamp holder.
4. Fit the nuts (2 pcs) that secure the hand le from the inside, beside the lock unit.
5. Fit the pull handle to the inside of the tailgate.
6. Fit the tailgate trim.
