Fault symptoms
CHECK ENGINE lamp on. Basic charging pressure only.

Conditions
Engine running. Braking taken place from 35 km/h to 0 km/h on 6 occasions. Each braking shorter than 10 sec. No change in status of the input from the brake light switch.

P1576: Short circuit to B+
P1577: short circuit to ground/open circuit

Diagnostic help
Status, "ON/OFF", of brake light switch can be read with the diagnostic tool.
- Select "ON/OFF".
- Select "BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH".

Checking the wiring harness. Intermittent faults may occur in connection with short circuits and open circuits. Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in several directions to locate any problems in the wiring, including intermediate connectors. Observe the multimeter, scan tool or test lamp during the check.
