Checking The Purging Circuit







Unplug the connector:
- EVAP shut-off valve (588)







- Apply battery voltage to the male connector.
- Connect a pressure/vacuum pump and pressure gauge to the emission canister's hose.
- Undo the filler cap and cover the hole for the roll-over valve.
- Lower the pressure to -0.1 bar by means of the pressure/vacuum pump.

The pressure must not visibly rise within 10 seconds.

Is the function correct?

NO -

YES - Continue With Checking The Purging Circuit

Change the filler cap.
