Checking the Air Pressure Sensor




Checking The Air Pressure Sensor












- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.







- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Contact Trionic 5 OBDII







Reading: Intake Pressure
The reading should be 102 kPa

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and-in line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this

Is the function correct?

NO -

YES - Continue With Checking The Air Pressure Sensor

- Build up a pressure of 0.6 bar using a pressure/vacuum pump and pressure gauge.







Reading: Intake Pressure
The reading should be 155 kPa - 165 kPa.

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO -

YES - Continue With Checking The Air Pressure Sensor

- Build up a vacuum of -0.6 bar using a pressure/vacuum pump and pressure gauge.







Reading: Intake Pressure
The reading should be 35 kPa - 45 kPa.

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO -

YES -
