Final Check












- Clear the diagnostic trouble code.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.







- Turn off the A/C.

Unplug the connector:
- Engine coolant temperature sensor, instrument (45)
- Start the engine and run it at idling speed







- Let the engine idle until the coolant temperature exceeds 60 °C, however, at least 3 minutes
- Floor the throttle pedal for a second or two and then let the engine run at idling speed for 30 seconds Repeat this procedure two more times.







- Contact Trionic 5 OBDII.







Test value: O2S 1 (Trionic 5 OBDII)
The reading should be: READY

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Repeat the driving cycle.

YES - Continue With Final Check


- Obtain readouts of diagnostic trouble codes in Trionic OBDII

Has the diagnostic trouble code recurred?

NO - Continue With Final Check

YES - The fault persists







The steps taken to rectify the fault were correct.
Plug in the connector.
- Engine coolant temperature sensor, instrument (45)
- Clear the diagnostic trouble code for the temperature sensor in the MIU.
