Checking Oxygen Sensor Insulation







Unplug the connector
- Heated oxygen sensor 1 OBDII (592Fa)

Unplug the connector
- Heated oxygen sensor 2 OBDII (592Ra)







Measure the resistance. The value should be infinite.

1 - Heated oxygen sensor 1 OBDII
3 - Heated oxygen sensor 1 OBDII


Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the reading correct?

NO -

YES - Continue With Checking Oxygen Sensor Insulation







Measure the resistance. The value should be infinite.

1 - Heated oxygen sensor 2 OBDII
3 - Heated oxygen sensor 2 OBDII


Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the reading correct?

NO -

YES - Continue With Checking Oxygen Sensor Insulation
