Fault symptoms
TAPE ERROR 05 displayed on SID.

Conditions
This DTC is generated if the main unit detects the tape transport speed deviating considerably from the normal.
Sound reproduction is distorted.

Diagnostic help
When this fault is detected, the main unit reverses the tape transport direction. If this does not help after a number of attempts, the cassette is ejected.
make sure the cassette is fault-free.
