Soft Top Valve 1. No response:

Fault symptom
Soft top cannot be operated. SID shows message SOFT TOP FAILURE.

Condition
Control module receives no response from valve in question.

Diagnostic procedure
There is communication on the VR-bus as long as there is +54 current. This DTC is generated if response is missing from the valve in question.
The cause of the problem may be power supply, ground or bus connection missing to the valve.
As an alternative, move the connector to another valve next to the valve being checked. If that valve also is missing, the problem is in the wiring harness.
Do not activate the soft top.
