Soft Top Hydraulic Pump Push Relay, Open Circuit:

Fault symptom
Soft top cannot be operated. SID shows message SOFT TOP FAILURE.
The pump motor operates for as long as the ignition is ON.

Condition
Control module senses that the output is not receiving sufficient signal.

Diagnostic procedure
Control module outputs B+ to the relay to activate it.
For safety reasons, there is no possibility to activate the control module output using the diagnostics tool.

Checking wiring harness
Intermittent faults can exist during temporary short circuits and open circuits. Wiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to discover problems in the wiring harness and connectors. Observe the multimeter, diagnostic tool or the test lamp during checking.
