Fault symptoms
Outdoor temperature function on SID display faulty.

Conditions
Open circuit: Resistance higher than 415 kohm
Short-circuit to ground: Resistance lower than 100 ohms

Diagnostic help
The outdoor temperature sensor can be read using Tech 2. Both the unfiltered and the filtered values can be read.

The outdoor temperature sensor can be adjusted is ±5 °C.

Check wiring harness.
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits in the leads.

Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic instrument during the test.
