Cabin temperature sensor. Shorted to ground
Cabin temperature sensor. Open circuit/shorted to B+.







Fault symptom
Experienced temperature in cabin is too high or low when compared to set temperature.

Conditions
The following conditions apply:
- Open circuit or short-circuit to B+ on pin 20 > 4.9 V.
- Shorted to ground on pin 20 < 0.1 V.
- Measured every 440 ms and 5 measurements in a row are required to generate a diagnostic trouble code.
- The diagnostic trouble code is erased after ignition has been switched on 20 times if the problem conditions have not been fulfilled.
- When the diagnostic trouble code is generated, a replacement value is used. The replacement value used at ignition turn-on is the outside temperature and then the calculated temperature at head level for the front-seat passenger and driver.
