Rear Seat Heating Relay. Open Circuit/Short to Ground







Fault symptoms
Open circuit/short circuit to B+ gives the following symptoms:
- no seat heating
- indicator lamp does not light.
Open circuit/short circuit to ground gives the following symptoms:
- seat heater permanently on irrespective of ignition key position
- indicator lamp on permanently
- battery discharges.

Conditions
No diagnostic trouble code is generated for voltage under 11V and diagnostic communication.

The control module output can be activated using the diagnostic tool.
