Fuel filler pipe, new screw

Background

The 13 mm hexagon plastic screw securing the fuel filler pipe to the body has been replaced with a new 6 mm hexagonal socket screw. This is to reduce the risk of the screw inadvertently being over-tightened.

Parts required

49 40 896 Plastic screw (CA: 30573472)

Procedure





Always fit the new plastic screw (1), part no. 49 40 896 when carrying out work where the fuel filler pipe must be removed/retitted or it the screw has been damaged.

Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm (1.1 lbf ft)
