General Information

The starter motor is designed to turn the engine over at such a high speed that it will be capable of starting under widely varying conditions, such as if the oil is highly viscous or the temperature is far below zero.

The starter motor is equipped with permanent magnets to spare the battery from unnecessary effort and to achieve higher starting speeds.

Planetary gearing is used to reduce the output speed of the starter motor and also to achieve a higher starting torque.
