Evaporative Vapor Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair
WARNING: Removing the fuel filler pipe entails working on the car's fuel system. The following points must therefore be observed:
^ Work only in a well-ventilated area. If approved equipment for the extraction of fuel vapours is available, be sure to use it.
^ Wear protective gloves. Prolonged contact with fuel can cause skin irritation or dermatitis.
^ Keep a class BE fire extinguisher near at hand. Be mindful of the danger of sparks caused by short circuits and when connecting and disconnecting leads, etc. in electrical circuits.
^ No smoking anywhere in the vicinity.
To Remove

5. Unplug the pressure sensor's connector.
6. Lower the car to the floor.

Tightening torque:
- plastic screw: 1.8 Nm (1.3 ft lbs).
- hose clip: 2.2 Nm (1.6 ft lbs).
IMPORTANT: When changing the plastic screw it is important to ensure that the new screw is also made of plastic. In the event of a collision the plastic screw should "give" to avoid damage to the filler pipe, which is also made of plastic.
