Adjustment of Functions
1 "RECALL SERV MESS"
This command resets the "TIME FOR SERVICE" service message when it is shown on the Saab Information Display (SID) unit's display. This can also be done by pressing the "CLEAR" button for more than 8 seconds. "CLEARED" will then be displayed and an acoustic signal will sound after 4 seconds. "SERVICE" will be displayed after another 4 seconds and an acoustic signal will sound once again.
2 "OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE"
Adjustment of the displayed temperature (-5 - +5°C) in 0.5°C steps.
3 "TANK/DTE"
Adjustment of remaining fuel in the tank when the range indicator (DTE - distance to empty) shows 0 litres.
0-10 litres in 0.1 litre steps.
4 "SERVICE INDICATOR"
It is possible to select one of the following alternatives for the service message display text:
5 "DAY COUNTER"
On model year 1995 and later cars the service interval day counter can be turned on and off. If it is turned off, only the odometer reading will determine when the service message Is displayed.
6 "CHOOSE LANGUAGE"
If "CHANGE" is selected, a list of possible languages will be displayed: ES, IT, FR, DE, GB and SE. The selected language will be used from the time the ignition is next switched on. Since SID 4 has no buttons for selecting a language, this is the only available method.
7 "SPEED WARNING ME"
If this warning system is active, an acoustic signal will be heard when the speed of the car exceeds 120 km/h. At the same time, the "SPDW" message will appear on the display. This is a legal requirement in the ME market.
