Odometer Display Lighting

Fault symptoms
The light control does not work.
The odometer display lighting does not work.

Diagnostic procedure
1 Connect an Intellegent Saab Tester (ISAT) Scan Tool and select "TEST FUNCTIONS" followed by "INSTR LIGHTG TEST". If in proper working order, the brightness of the display lighting bulbs will change from 0 to maximum and then back to 0.
2 If any bulb does not light up it is probably faulty and must be changed.

If none of the bulbs lights up in spite of them all being OK, check that the display unit's leads which are connected to the connector marked CN4 on the intermediate part's circuit board have not worked loose.

If the leads are OK, the fault is in the processor card. Continue in "Before Control Module Replacement".
