Inspection of Fan Belt

If the generator does not charge, engine temperature is too high or engine speed exceeds 300 rpm, the main instrument display panel's control module sends a signal to the Saab Information Display (SID) unit which displays the message "CHECK FAN BELT" at the same time as an acoustic signal sounds.

The SID unit also sends a signal to the main instrument display panel requesting it to light the INFO DISPL lamp.
