Door/Trunk Ajar Indicator/Lamp: Description and Operation

The indicator lamp is supplied with current in the main instrument display panel and the ICE unit grounds it via pin 11 (14p) of the main instrument display panel on receiving information that a door is open.

Connected in series with the indicator lamp is a diode which prevents the lamp from lighting up incorrectly.
