Radiator Cooling Fan Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

NOTE: Step numbers below refer to numbers used in the illustrations.

1. Open the lid of the expansion tank and release the over-pressure, then tighten the lid.
2. Remove the cover and the pressure pipe between the charge air cooler and the throttle body (turbo).
3. Undo the temperature sensor's electrical connection and remove the temperature sensor.
4. Install the temperature sensor and tighten to: 6 Nm (4.5 ft. lbs.).
- Reconnect the electrical connection.
5.Install the pressure pipe between the charge air cooler and the throttle body (turbo).
6. Top up with coolant and check that the system does not leak.
