Coolant Reservoir: Description and Operation

The expansion tank is on the left-hand side of the engine compartment.

The tank is connected to the water pump and to the upper right-hand part of the radiator.

The latter connection is there to vent the cooling system.

The coolant in the expansion tank does not participate in the circulation.
