Overhaul

Disassembly
1. Disassemble the master cylinder.
2. Clean the master cylinder and place it in a soft jaw vice.
3. Remove the circlip.
4. Take the primary piston and the seals out of the cylinder.
5. Take away the cover washer and lock pin.
6. Pull the secondary piston out of the cylinder.





Assembly
1. Clean the cylinder bore.
2. Rinse out cylinder and blow it dry.
3. Check that the passage holes are free from dirt.
4. Lubricate the seals with brake fluid.
5. Press the secondary piston into the cylinder, install the lock pin and put the cover washer in place.
6. Press the primary piston and seals into the cylinder.
7. Install the circlip.
8. Fasten the fluid reservoir onto the master cylinder.
9. Install the master cylinder to the brake servo unit.
