Background
On certain cars there is a risk that the second bow may start rattling. This can be caused by the cover over the screw head in the rectangular rubber stop coming loose.
The second bow on cars from VIN W008824 have been turned the other way round and therefore a cover over the screw head is not required. Rectify after customer complaint.

Procedure
1. Put the soft top in half-open position.
2. Make sure there is a cover over the screw in each rubber stop on both front side rails. At the same time, check that no loose covers are stuck to the soft top.
3. If the cover has become loose or if it is missing completely, a new one must be fitted, part no. 46 96 175. Clean away old adhesive residue from the screw head. Glue on the new cover with quick-dry adhesive 46 20 084. Wipe off and remove any excess adhesive.
