Fault symptom
ABS warning lamp on, no ABS function.

Condition
- The ignition switch is in the ON position
- The electronic control module makes a boost pressure control valve connection test.

Diagnostic help
The boost pressure control valves can be activated with the ISAT Scan Tool.
- Select "ACTIVATE"
- Select "VALVES"
Particular valves can be identified In the sub menu.
The selected valve is activated within approx. 30 seconds with a frequency of 1 Hz.

Diagnostic procedure
1 Valve check
- Connect the ISAT Scan Tool. The ignition switch is in the ON position.
- First activate the "INTAKE" and then after the activation period is over activate the "OUTLET". Listen if the valves click.

Do the valves click?
YES - Continue with point 3.
NO - Continue with point 2.

2 Electronic control module ground and voltage supply check
- Disconnect the electronic control module connector.
- The ignition switch is in the ON position.

Take a voltage reading at the electronic control module sensor connector. Connect the voltmeter,
- between B+ and pin 15= - between B+ and pin 17= <0.5V
- between B+ and pin 18= <0.5V
- between pin 16 and B- <0.1V
- between pin 19 and B- <0.1V

Are the voltage ratings OK?
YES - Continue with point 3.
NO - Check and rectify the wiring including the connector and grounding points.

3 Final Inspection
- Erase the diagnostic trouble code.
- Carry out the driving cycle, drive the car with various load and engine speeds for 5 minutes.
- Read the diagnostic trouble code.

Is the diagnostic trouble code stored?
YES - Continue on "Test Procedure Prior To Replacing ECM"
NO - The diagnostic procedure performed is right or the fault is of intermittent character.
