Fault symptoms
The speedometer needle indicates the wrong speed and may point to 250 km/h at the end of the dial.

Diagnostic procedure
1 Clear the trouble code, drive the car for a few minutes at different speeds and check whether the trouble code recurs.

If the trouble code does not recur, the fault was probably due to a computer error and can be disregarded.

If the trouble code recurs, continue speedometer fault diagnosis as described in "Fault Diagnosis/Speedometer and Odometer".
