Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair






NOTE: Step numbers below refer to numbers used in the illustrations.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and remove the battery.
- Remove the battery shelf.
2. Separate the radiator fan's electrical connections.
3. Undo the servo pump's oil pipes and the clips for the radiator's breather hose from the radiator crossmember and turn the oil pipe to one side.
4. Remove the two screws from the radiator fan cover and lift up the cover.
5. Remove the screws which hold the radiator fan to the fan cover, undo the resistor (2-speed radiator fan) and undo the contacts from the fan cover and remove the fan.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the radiator fan in its correct position against the fan cover and secure it with the nuts.
2. Press the contacts on to the fan cover and install the resistor (2-speed radiator fan).
3. Install the radiator fan cover on to the radiator and tighten the two screws.
4. Connect the radiator fan.
5. Install the battery shelf.
- Install and reconnect the battery.
