The Motronic 5.2 consists of the following main components:
1. Engine control module
2. Crankshaft position sensor
3. Camshaft position sensor
4. Mass air flow sensor
5. Throttle position sensor
6. Engine coolant temperature sensor
7. Intake air temperature sensor
8. Knock sensors (2)
9. Ignition coil module with 3 ignition coils
10. Injectors (6)
11. Oxygen sensors (2 before the three way catalytic converters)
12. Idle air control valve
13. EVAP canister purge valve
14. Secondary air injection pump
15. Fuel tank pressure sensor, mounted in the fuel tank (not shown illustration)
16. Shut-off valve, evaporative emission canister
17. Oxygen sensors (2 after the three way catalytic converters)
