Loosening Rear Window Rubber Molding

During 1996 a new top with the rear window clipped in place instead of glued in place was introduced in production.
This new top has a rubber molding glued around the rear window. In some cases this rubber molding can loosen and pull away from the window at the joint where the two ends meet. Because of this, a metal clip has been developed for mounting over the joint.

Action:
30. Raise the top.
31. Using a wooden wedge or similar tool, press the clip over the joint while holding the clip's locking tongue up with a plastic spatula or similar tool.
NOTE:
Do not use metallic tools as paint may be scratched or glass broken.
