The connection (L lead) to pin 6 of the diagnostics socket (Data Link Connector) is utilized to activate flash codes. Ground the lead for 0.5-4 seconds and check for flash codes as shown in image.

CAUTION: Care must be taken when grounding pin 6 of the diagnostic socket to activate lamp flash codes as the adjacent pins might be active.
