Certain 1995 900 and 9000 Models
(See Below for specific VIN Information)

It is possible that on some cars the SRS warning light activates and fault codes are registered without any fault in the system. In these cases, the system is functionally unaffected and fault free. This is caused by a calibration error in the diagnostic routine within the ECM.

If one of the codes listed below is registered, and is of the intermittent (I) type, the airbag ECM must be replaced with an updated ECM. NOTE: If the fault is a permanent (P) one, follow the procedure found in Service Manual 8:6 Airbag.





All ECM's in stock are updated with no change to the part number. An updated ECM has production number "95Txxx" on the label. The "xxx" should read "131" or higher. See Figure 1.

Based on a customer complaint for a vehicle in warranty, submit a claim using the following information:

Failure code: 85073-67-0-01/06-01
Labor operation: 12311 for 0.4 hr. (ALL models)
Labor operation: 85073 for 0.2 hr. (900 models)
Labor operation: 85078 for 0.5 hr. (9000 models)
