Extra Fog Lights

The Integrated Central Electronics (ICE) control module controls the front fog lights and depending on the market variant for which it is programmed, the ICE grounds the fog light relay via pin 55 when current is present on pin 17 of the ICE control module.

When lights switch 10 is in position 0 (daylight driving lights), position 1 (parking lights) or position 2 (main or dipped beam headlamps), a positive voltage is applied to pin 5 of switch 88 for the extra fog lights via fuse 30 (which also supplies the parking lights with current).

When switch 88 is pressed, the ICE control module grounds relay 107 and the lamp built into the switch lights up at full strength. When the switch is not activated the lamp is supplied with current from rheostat 16 for the instrument lighting.

When the relay is operated, both fog lights 85 are supplied with current via fuse 2 from the closed relay contacts.
