Glove Box Light - Component Location:

COMPONENT LOCATION
10 Lights switch between steering wheel and driver's door.
19 Glove box light, in the glove box.
20 Ignition switch on centre console between the front seats.
25 Hazard flashers switch, on the dashboard beside SID unit 541.
501 Main fuse board, maxi fuses, behind the battery.

Grounding Points
G34P Grounding point, control module bracket (Power) below the right-hand A pillar.

DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
When lights switch 10 is in position 0, current from the +54 circuit is supplied to the glove box.

When the lights switch is in position 1, current from the +30 circuit is supplied to the glove box.

When the lights switch is in position 2, current from the +X circuit is supplied to the glove box.

Current is supplied to the switch in the glove box via fuse 29.

When the glove box lid is opened, the switch closes the circuit to ground and lamp 19 comes on.


FAULT DIAGNOSIS HINTS
1. Check that fuse 29 is intact and supplied with current.
2. Check whether the light bulb is OK.
3. Check the connectors, wiring and ground connections.
