DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
Cars for certain markets are equipped with a rear fog light.
The rear fog light cannot be turned ON unless the lights switch is in position 2.
Current is supplied to lights switch 10 from the ignition switch. The rear fog light cannot be turned ON unless the lights switch is in position 2 (headlamps on main or dipped beam).
Current is supplied to the rear fog light switch from the lights switch via fuse 37.
Pressing the rear fog light switch turns ON rear fog light 33 (on the left-hand side for Left Hand Drive cars and the right-hand side for Right Hand Drive cars) and indicator lamp 47N in the main instrument display panel.
At the same time as the switch is pressed, the lamp built into the switch button will be supplied with current directly and light up at full intensity.
The rear fog light on a trailer, if any, is supplied with current via connector 258 (H8-5).
FAULT DIAGNOSIS HINTS
1. Check that fuse 37 is intact and supplied with current.
2. Check that the relevant light bulb is OK and supplied with current.
3. Check connectors, wiring and ground connections.
