THE CAMPAIGN

Saab Cars USA, Inc. has notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety may exist in certain 1994 900 3- and 5-door models and 1995 900 Convertible models..

On certain 1994 900 3- and 5-door models and certain 1995 900 Convertible models it is possible that the seat assemblies are missing one or more of the arc welds that join the seat back recliner mechanism to the seat back frame. For all cars, both front seat backs will be inspected and if found to be missing the welds in question, will be replaced with one that is correctly welded.
