Input Shaft Bearing Race

NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.





Removal
1. Remove the four screws of the seal holder.
- Put the screws and shims in a safe place.





2. Press out the bearing race with driver tool No. 87 90 800 using tube tool No. 87 92 236, or equivalent, as support.





Installation
1. Turn the gear case over and insert the bearing race using a plastic hammer.
2. Then press down the bearing race with driver tool No. 87 92 202, or equivalent, until the tool reaches the bottom of the gear case.
3. Install the seal holder with a nominal packet of shims of 1.4 mm.
- Pull down the bearing race alternately with the seal holder.
- Tightening torque: 33-43 Nm (24-32 ft. lbs.)
