Carrier Bearings: Service and Repair

NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.





Removal
1. Place the differential in a screw vice with jaw protectors and pull out the bearings with puller tool No. 87 92 343, or equivalent.
- Use sleeve tube tool No. 87 92 210, or equivalent, as a support.

Installation
1. Press the bearings down to the bottom with driver tool No. 87 91 311, or equivalent.
- Use sleeve tube tool as support.
