Clutch Release Bearing: Service and Repair




De-clutching bearing






To remove

Remove gearbox, refer to Manual Transmission/Transaxle - Service and Repair - Procedures Service and Repair

1. Remove the screw on the fork to the clutch bearing and pull out the clutch lever's shaft.
2. Remove the de-clutching bearing.


Installation

1. Install the de-clutching bearing together with the fork.
2. Install the shaft.
3. Loosely install the screw on the fork and turn the fork so that the play between bearing and clutch case disappears.

NOTE: The screw on the fork should be tightened with the clutch lever "fixed", i.e. press on the de-clutching bearing at the same time as the clutch lever is loaded.

4. Tighten the screw on the fork to: 25 ±2 Nm (18.5 ±1.5 ft lbs)
5. Install the gearbox, refer to Manual Transmission/Transaxle - Service and Repair - Procedures Service and Repair
