CHECKING LAMPS, CHECK GEARBOX, SPORT and WINTER

Fault symptom
The lamps do not come on or are on constantly. Note that the CHECK GEARBOX lamp is checked for functioning for 3 seconds in connection with ignition switch-on.

Diagnostic procedure
Activate each lamp by initiating WINTER LAMP, SPORT LAMP AND CHECK GEARBOX in ISAT menu ACTIVATE.

If the lamps do not work, first check that the lamps are intact.

If the lamps are intact, check and remedy any faults in the cable between the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the main instrument for an open circuit or a short circuit as follows:
- CHECK GEARBOX: TCM pin 6 to main instrument pin 22,
- SPORT LAMP: TCM pin 24 to main instrument pin 27,
- WINTER LAMP: TCM pin 7 to main instrument pin 26.

If ok, check instruments.
